As the year draws to a close, it is time to take stock. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us to achieve our goals this year. Thanks to you, we have even exceeded them
This year, we were able to work with new public and private partners. In addition to the Ministry of Youth and Sport, our collaboration with the Ministry of Population and Solidarity was launched. After two years of waiting, our collaboration with the Association des Femmes de Police et des policières was also established this year. The success of this collaboration will soon allow us to extend it to other departments of the Ministry of Public Security.
However, cooperation with our private partners has also expanded. New companies and organisations that have heard about the quality of our training have not hesitated to get in touch with us. They were very pleased to work with us. This year’s partnerships with renowned organisations such as UNICEF have left their mark and can further strengthen AiNA soa’s reputation in the field of first aid.
This year, around 1200 people across Madagascar benefited from our first aid training.
In this video, we take a look back at the highlights of 2024 – enjoy watching!
New focus – fire safety
As fires can cause both property damage and personal injury, fire prevention is generally linked to first aid. The risk of fire is very present in both urban and rural areas. Knowledge about firefighting should therefore be disseminated in Madagascar.
That is why we want to try to reach as many people as possible with this knowledge. Especially to raise awareness of the correct behaviour in the event of a fire. To achieve this goal, our instructors have completed a refresher course on fire safety.
The training organised with G4S Madagascar last October not only enabled the team to acquire new knowledge, but also to gain the confidence to include this topic in our training offer. Find out more in Ny Ony’s blog.
We are currently working on our own booklet for fire safety training. We hope to be able to offer these specific training courses as a supplement from the new year.

Volunteer work
Just like last year, we at AiNA soa have also benefited from a volunteer this year. We welcomed Claudia Neher to Madagascar in November. She is a social worker and currently runs a shelter for people with addictions.
Before she took the time to explore the big island, she worked with the team in workshops in which we were able to develop useful tools for AiNA soa’s work together.
I am pleased that I was able to support this valuable work with the following impulses that fit in with my profession: Human and children’s rights, the fight against alcoholism and addiction, tips for an appreciative feedback culture and first aid courses for children.
Claudia
We are very grateful that she supported our work with a short assignment. If you are also thinking about combining a holiday with a volunteer assignment, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are convinced that such a trip is not only a benefit for the Malagasy people, but an enrichment for both sides. As Claudia also testifies.
This country is well worth a visit and I can only recommend combining your visit with a volunteer placement at AiNA soa. It gives your stay a special added value, inspires you and does you good.
We are now looking forward to taking some time out with our loved ones and recharging our batteries so that we can give our all for the people of Madagascar again in 2025.
